From the lens of value, what is really important to you in your workplace?
Four generations in one workplace.
Something is going to give.
Much like the power to choose what good looks like for our professional
life, I think we have too the opportunity to challenge what our employers,
workplaces and business should stand for.
As the next generation of professionals become the new decision makers
and influencers at work, it’s important to consider what the culture needs to
be in your workplace and how you can contribute to it for a better professional
experience.
I really value trust and put a heavy focus on relationships to build a better
business. I value creativity and harness a culture for ideas and innovation of
service. For me this gives us the opportunity as a small business to be curious
and always question the status quo. As a small business we can be nimble
against larger organisations and make decisions quickly.
These ideas and nimbleness can only be embraced effectively when
partnered with a genuine desire for quality.
What would you say the culture and values are in your workplace? What
would a person new to the company see about you when they sat down
for the first time or even before they started working with you. What values
are reflected outside of the business through reviews, word of mouth and
reputation?
What would you wasn’t to change or improve?
