What are your financial goals for 12 months

Do those close to you know your financial aims?

I really want to do this!

A savings plan is one thing and I found that once I had that in place I felt more
comfortable. But then I began to think more about what I want us to do as a
family. Sometimes my own ambition was hidden and not shared to anyone.

I’d keep to myself the financial goals and aims and then get frustrated when
others did certain things that went against my private aims and ambitions –
how were they to know?!

So the focus here has to be about you, the family and your collective
ambitions. Do you have conversations with your loved ones about what it is
you want to achieve, and what the money you are generating, saving and
investing is designed to do?

There are many great books that support the relationship to money and the
ambitions you can realise by having a solid financial plan. One of my favourites
would be Rich Dad, Poor Dad by Robert Kiyosaki.

With the guidance of books like this and my desire to provide for my family
(that includes my own ambitions!) we can now sit down and map out what our
short, medium and long term goals are.

From dates nights, to holidays, the investments and retirements –
what do you want?
