When was the last time you moved?
Aiming for my 10,000 steps a day – but hybrid working didn’t help.
Hybrid working. A good thing? I’ll not challenge those thoughts with you just
yet. There’s no doubt it can help us do our work from anywhere in the world
and that in theory creates opportunities for us to win back some of our time.
But in all honestly, can you look back and think you are as active, or more
active, than 2019 levels for example?
That walk to work you don’t have anymore?
What have you replaced it with?
The walk around the office complex on your lunch break?
What has happened to that time?
If you’ve replaced these opportunities to be active with sitting still or eating
snacks then there’s some really great work you can do here.
When referencing the me time that can get lost in the noise of other roles, I
find a super way of holding on to this precious time is to use the time between
roles to focus on me. 10,000 steps a day. Listening that latest release, podcast
or audio book. It supports me mentally and keeps me active in a busy life that
would be easier to say no to exercise and activity.
Find the gaps and get active.
